Dr. Drupita M. Paleri, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, received the Polymera Rising Scientist Award 2026

Dr. Drupita M. Paleri, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, received the Polymera Rising Scientist Award 2026, which includes a cash prize of ₹25,000 and a citation. The award recognizes outstanding researchers in the field of polymer science and was presented at the Polymera 2026 International Scientific Conference, where the latest advances in sustainable and energy-related polymers, advanced composites, smart materials, biopolymers, rubber and elastomers, polymer membranes, and computational materials science were showcased.

Trained as a polymer engineer, Dr. Paleri earned her PhD from the Rubber Technology Centre, IIT Kharagpur, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Guelph, Canada. She is currently investigating the physico-mechanical and rheological properties of biopolymers at IIT Madras.
